Frequently asked questions

Before you begin,
start with these answers.

Answers to common questions about plans, the publishing assistant, LLM copy generation, creator Keys, and the desktop app.

What does IndieSwell do?

IndieSwell is a desktop promotion workspace for Steam indie developers. Keep assets in one project, generate and edit copy, prepare platform posts, organize creator outreach, and assemble game-media pitch materials.

Is Free enough, and when should I upgrade?

Free covers project setup, asset organization, basic copy generation, and the publishing assistant. Upgrade to Pro for more advanced copy, full outcome analysis, creator matching and Key outreach, or game-media pitching; choose Max for the up-to-10-person team workspace.

What if Pro has no suitable creator match yet?

Matching uses the confirmed game category and selected content platform. Check the project category first, then try another available platform.

Can I manage more than one game?

Yes. All three plans allow unlimited game projects. The difference is the promotion capability available on each plan.

When should I use the game-media pitch assistant?

Use it when the game has a presentable build, a clear hook, and basic materials. Pro and Max can help find public submission routes or contact emails and prepare editable pitch content and project details. You choose who to contact and how to send it; coverage is not guaranteed.

Do I need to buy a separate AI service for copy generation?

No. Copy generation is included in the current plan. You do not need to enter a provider API key or purchase another AI service.

Will IndieSwell publish posts for me automatically?

No. The publishing assistant prepares the content and opens the platform's official publishing page. You confirm the account, copy, media, and final publication.
